Materials Development
SIL International Bangladesh aims to support language group to maintain and preserve their mother tongue by developing a variety of materials for different age groups. Those materials includes alphabet books, spelling guides, story books with pictures, story books, rhymes and songs books, topic based adult literacy books, math books, etc. SIL works directly with the community to develop the materials. Community people also feel proud to be part of the process and they work to review the existing materials and writing system. At the same time SIL also develops awareness raising materials in the National Language on different topics like women empowerment, savings, and general health and so on. SIL works with communities to foster the effective use of these materials for continuous and lifetime learning.
